Silly Mini Sunday 2010
4th April 2010
It's not the first time the Spammers have attended this well known event but
it is the first time the organisers have allowed the BMW MINI. This year had
a theme of 'The Muppets' which when you think of our colour range was not going
to be easy.
Nikki, white BMW, had made a Kermit and with some fake grass turned hers into
a new home for the lovable frog.
Anne, Silver BMW, decided to turn hers into a space ship, so with a crew of
pigs and one alien we had 'Pigs In Space'.
6 cars were due to attend but due to other commitments Bill had to drop out,
so 5 cars left Ivybridge at 7:30 and drove to Crealy. In Crealy approximately
50 cars parked in up the adventure park for the general public to see and also
gave us opportunity to partake in the fun of the attraction. The only downer
at this particular event is the lack of support for the BMW Mini which we were
glad to see a presence of 4 vehicles. Much to the upset of the organiser, she
did not hide it well, the raffle was won by Nikki, BMW, and the car fancy dress
by a Yellow BMW as Big Bird (and yes he did appear in the Muppets on one occasion).
After leaving Crealy we drove to Dawlish Warren via Powderham Castle where we
were allowed to drive through the grounds and the castle gates.
