Silly Mini Sunday
Date 12th April 2009
On Easter Sunday members of the SPAMfritter mini club met at Sainsbury's Marsh
Mills car park at 8am.
We departed in convoy towards Exeter on the A38 heading for our first destination
of the day at Crealy adventure park.
We had four minis attending the event:
Phil Donnell's - red mini spi
Lee Causer's - white modified mini
Kim and Dan's - orange modified mini
Paul Eagles' - mini cooper spi
We arrived at Crealey approx 9am along with other mini clubs from the region
which included Cornwall's Brown Monkey Mini Club.
Shortly after, all the minis entered into the park and lined up together to
form a show and shine for the morning.
Local press and mini world magazine also took photographs of the whole event.
The SPAMfritter mini group had a fun packed morning inside Crealy Adventure
Park, making great use of all the rides and attractions the park had to offer.
Shortly after lunch we prepared to depart from the park along with all minis
attending the day for a mini run.
The convoy of 50 plus minis left Crealy approx.1:30pm and headed off through
Topsham towards Dawlish on the coast.
Along the route we drove through the Powderham Castle grounds and had more photos
taken for mini world magazine.
As we left the grounds of Powderham Castle we drove through Starcross to finally
arrive in Dawlish Warren where all the minis parked in a horseshoe arrangement
on the main seafront green.
By the afternoon it was a nice hot and sunny day, so we had a lot of people
turn up to look at all cars in attendance.
Shortly after 4pm we departed back towards Plymouth via the A38, completing
an action filled fun packed day.
