Drive and Photo Shoot

The SPAMfritter "mini adventure".

The date: 28th June 2009.
The time: 11:15am.
The Location: Plymouth Argyle Car Park.

The idea was to take a leisurely drive from Plymouth to Looe in Cornwall.

Leisurely was a loose term when the trip involves a ferry and roads that even the BMWs needed to pull in the mirrors, and hill starts in the wet which put the test to a few's wheel grip and clutch strength.
6 Classics and 2 BMW Minis arrived at the Argyle car park for the 1st Spam only drive of the year. After leaving Argyle we travelled to the ferry and sailed to Torpoint.
On disembarking we followed the roads to Antony, Crafthole and stopping off at a car park near Portwrinkle overlooking the coast.
After a brief stop to stretch legs, let the kids have a walk and have some photos taken we then headed to Downderry, Seaton, No Mans Land and eventually arriving in Looe.
To say the locals were a little surprised to see 8 Minis driving through the small town is an understatement; but hey the run, looks from the locals and fun had by all has set us up ready for the Legendary Grand Tour in August.
