Dartington Crystal Mini Day

Date 26th July 2009

On a very wet Sunday morning a great turnout of 7 vehicles of the SPAMfritter mini club met at B & Q Derriford at 9:00 am.

Arriving at 10:30 Dan had taken us through Tavistock and up towards Great Torrington, en-route taking in some fantastic views of Dartmoor (even in the wet).

On arriving we headed straight for the coffee shop to get warm and have some breakfast.

Unfortunately the turnout was not as good as in previous years probably due to the weather but however it was great to see a mix of Mk1, 2, 3, 4, pickup's and BMW's even better was the arrival of 3 Austin Sevens all in superb condition; not a recovery trailer in site.

All vehicles were entered into each categories vote. Dan also entered the sound off which put alot of people off after seeing his massive boot sub. However he was still just beaten to the win despite the judges requiring a second listen.

The traditional best of.... competitions ended with our own Lee Causer taking both, Best Modified and also Best in Show.
